With Love Down Under Charity Gig

There will be a second With Love Down Under (WLDU) event upcoming in July, but this time instead of under MASCA, it will be under the name of Kelab UMNO Luar Negara (KULN).

Every year, all Malaysian students in Australia will meet up for the annual National Conference & Games (NCG); more like inter-state games tournament. This year it will be held in Sydney. Kelab UMNO New South Wales (KUNSW) is organizing a gig, inviting some Malaysian bands over and also all the students from all the states in Australia here to perform as well.

The gig is going to be held on the 12th of July, Sunday ( the night after the NCG ends). It will hopefully be a collabration with Kelab UMNO from other states in Australia and other Malaysian Student Bodies in Sydney. A Sydney Committee will also be formed: not necessarily Kelab UMNO Committee members, but just simply anyone who is interested. We currently have 5 Sydney committee members, and will be recruiting for more soon! Some of the previous WLDU 08 Committee Members have also volunteered to help out which is really good news.

So far, Bunkface, Couple and Estrella have express their interests in coming over. But further arrangements need to be done for this to be possible (i.e, we need money!)

I'm also currently in a process of replying emails with Click A Child (http://click-a-child.blogspot.com), as they will be the charity recipient for this event at the moment. We are, however, still looking for other bodies to donate instead, since Click A Child seems to be getting a lot of help already. If you have any suggestions of those who needs financial help in Malaysia, please share with us. I'm pretty sure there are many more Malaysians out there who have difficulties going through a normal life.

UNSW Roundhouse (http://www.unswroundhouse.com) have already been booked, but can only be fully confirmed when the 20% deposit have been paid (i.e, even more money!)

Hidup Bola Futsal Tournament

Pada hari Sabtu, 18hb April 2009, Kelab UMNO New South Wales (KUNSW) bersama-sama Persatuan Pelajar Muda Sydney (PPMS) telah menganjurkan acara ‘Hidup Bola Futsal Tournament’ di University of Sydney Aquatic Centre, Australia.

‘Hidup Bola Futsal Tournament’ dianjurkan bertujuan mengisi masa lapang pelajar-pelajar sempena cuti Easter seminggu di sini.

Sebanyak 17 pasukan telah sertai acara tersebut; 12 pasukan lelaki dan 5 pasukan perempuan. Kelab UMNO ACT (Canberra) juga turut memeriahkan acara dengan menghantar satu pasukan futsal lelaki.

Selain pemain, ramai juga penyokong yang hadir dengan penuh semangat menyokong pasukan rakan-rakan mereka.

Acara berlangsung dari jam sepuluh pagi sehingga jam enam petang dan diakhiri dengan upacara penyampaian hadiah.

Johan bagi kategori lelaki jatuh kepada Kumpulan Macha manakalah johan kategori perempuan jatuh kepada Kumpulan Aishah.

Atas jasa baik 100PLUS, setiap pasukan juga telah diberi 12 tin air 100PLUS.

Kejayaan ‘Hidup Bola Futsal Tournament’ adalah satu pencapaian besar bagi kedua-dua kelab. Sudah menjadi harapan KUNSW untuk terus menganjurkan aktiviti-aktiviti seangkatan pada lain masa.
